Applications 

HF Applications:  This cable has better loss than smaller cables such as LMR 240 Type, although that cable is suitable for HF work at short lengths and regular power outputs such as 100W or less.  For power outputs greater than 100W through full legal output (1.5kW), this cable is highly recommended. 

VHF or UHF Applications: This cable is highly recommended for applications above 30 MHz, relative to the smaller LMR 240 cables or similar.
